hey all, jus wonderin if there was an s2 made with a 2.8 engine in it? there's one for sale somewhere in wales,jus checkin if its real or fake. by the way, anyone wanna sell an s2 coupe to an 18yo student? [img]images/graemlins/roflmao.gif[/img]

Nope never,all S2's were 2.2 Turbos

i saw an s2 on the m6 about a week ago,this had an s2 badge on the left and 2.8 on the right of the boot.it was green. if you bother to do an s2 lookalike you would think he could remove the 2.8 badge [img]images/graemlins/062802beat_prv.gif[/img]

James, I saw that advert as well. S2's all had 2.2 turbo engines. If you look at the picture in teh advert you'll also see it is a saloon.
No S2 saloons were made for the UK market either.
By the look of it the only 'S2 thing' on it is the front bumper.
I hope no-one buys it and thinks they are getting a bargain S2.

will be a sad story if they do and find out the truth. My old boss had a 2.6 which had the S2 front bumper on it so think it was probably an option on the higher spec models.
and the thing that annoys me a bit is seeing golf's and Polo's driving around with S2 or RS2 badges on. Just dont look right!

arrrrrggghhhh, this really gets my goat. You need to join my new campaign, the Audi S-badge Reclamation Exercise (A.R.S.E.), campaigning for the removal of all S badges from badly modified 1.4l Golfs. I might get some stickers made up for GTI International. [img]images/graemlins/tung2.gif[/img]

Took my S badges off because I thought someone might nick them to stick on a Polo 1.1 [img]images/graemlins/spineyes.gif[/img]
They normally use a screwdriver so mangle the paintwork too. When I removed my badges (with a heat gun) sure enough there was evidence underneath that a previous owner had lost the badges to a screwdriver-wielding tosser who had mangled the paint. Couldn't cope with that agro so 1.9 Tdi badges are far more appropriate [img]images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

It certainly does appear to surprise and p*ss people off! More poke is what is really needed now!! Before the wheels and brakes it was a bit of a Q-car being an Avant with a 1.9 tdi badge.
At least I don't get the badges nicked....I now have to worry about someone nicking the car. But the colour is so lurid it is bound to put people off.

what colour is it? what mods have you carried out on your avant now? Kinda wondering now if i should have gone for an avant [img]images/graemlins/crazy.gif[/img]
