Have driven Taycan not e-tron. I was happy to get back into my car. The max torque trick is only good for so long. Wrestling it around corners wasn’t fun. Yes, for over two tonnes it defies physics and I am all for the electric motor. The battery, nope, it’s not the answer.
The range and charging issues, I’ve sampled, on another journey with a chum are just too much of a ball ache.

Purely got one for tax efficiency over my RS6. Was worried about range and charging but to be honest in 18mm this of ownership have only had one experience where I had to use a slow charger and wait an hour
Admittedly you have to think about when you charge rather than jump in and drive but don’t find it a problem it’s just getting in that mindset. Quite often do a 300-400 mile round trip to a couple of different places
The linear power is great and would say whilst it is heavy the weight is low so more controllable than the last RS6 I had

The tax break will soon become a problem. The pricing won’t work once the government comes hunting for its RFL and fuel duty replacements.
I could get my head around a local run around, but the cost doesn’t stack up against a petrol hack.

So, I've had a RS Eton GT for the last 18mths and have enjoyed the car. It's super quick, feels lighter than the weight it carries, and if charging at home, definitely cheaper than petrol to run. Charging at fast charger... probably more expensive though.
BUT... I rarely use the power. On shorter journeys where I don't need to think about range it's normally around town, local roads with traffic preventing going quick. On longer journeys with an opportunity to enjoy the power... I don't as worried about the range. On these I often find myself putting it in efficiency, driving very sensibly just to eek out enough to get to a fast charger, and that's a boring drive.
Oh.. and don't mention Oct - Mar in the UK, where the rubbish heating, significantly reduced range and waiting in the dark at public chargers just amplify all the shortfalls of EV life today.
My conclusion is with the UK charging infrastructure combined with the range of EV's today, it's just not quite there. They need a solid 400 mile charge meaning you can enjoy all that power on longer trips and not have to use public charging unless a mega journey.
After 3mths in the dealer with the heating being repaired I'm about to press the button on a new RS6 before the value of my Eton plummets as many are predicting...
