Pre-registered car - discounts

Has anyone recently bought a pre-registered RS6 performance vorsprung, if so what discounts are you getting. I imagine dealers are struggling to shift them currently.

Interest rates have gone through the roof over the last year, depreciation is more of an issue and there are loads more available new than a few months ago.

Premium end of the market absolutely, and across the board there is pain.

Agreed this is what is happening in the market. There are hundreds of new Porsches available now, not been like that for years. Cars that were selling at a premium are now being discounted.

That is why I was asking what discounts people have recently achieved

As RS6 owners we all want to believe they'll hold their value. But as @Wattsm666 suggests, the market is in a bit of a mess and high end cars such as the RS6 always get hit hard. Interest rates bonkers to say the least.

I monitor the value of mine and after 1 year and 11k miles I would say I have lost £20k in depreciation alone. That being said the value did actually climb about £4k towards the end of last year.

With regard to discounts If I were ordering a performance vorsprung now I would be hoping for at least £15k - £20k off list. I ordered a non perf in may 2022 and i was given £12k off that then!!

You also have to remember that the performance car came with a significant price hike! Vorsprungs went up the best part of £15k for some new wheels, a tune, a bit less sound insulation and a a change of stitching colour... Lets be honest, the performance costs no more to manufacture than the pre performance car so profit margins have risen. Not to mention various bits of kit have been quietly omitted.

So in response - i dont have a current example but I'd be pushing hard and expecting a BIG discount. Some dealers have had cars for six months!!

I'm being offered Vorsprung 2023 for low £90k's (not the colour I want) that have been registered as demo's and under 1,000 miles

Brand new Performance I've been offered under £100k and going other end for brand new Perf Carbon Vorsprung I've been offered £112k-115k from several in London, Crewe, Liverpool - Which is £20k off list.

I'm personally after a Ultra-Blue Vorsprung 2023 (Sept onwards) sub 5k miles for low £90k and will wait till market reaches that or right car comes along.

I am worried with alternator issue anyone able to put mind at rest, some suggest anything late 2021 is less of an issue but is that simply a case of because newer cars just haven't failed as much yet?

Managed to get great deal on unregistered nardo grey vorsprung carbon edition car from group 1 audi in january,rang around 6 dealers and discounts were from 2k to 20k

There are certainly wide variations in discount, I got at the higher end of the range, not the max but it was a spec I wanted.

I've recently bought a Performance Carbon Vorsprung in the exact spec I was after and managed a £16k discount.

Only word of caution, is some of the very heavily discounted cars have been sitting around for +3-6mths. I could have taken a similar spec at a few k less, but found it was received into the dealer in Sept 23, vs the one I went for that had only arrived 3 weeks before I bought it.

They are probably fine, but personally didn't want one that had sat so long and clearly had a mountain of rust on the discs from pics sent!

I visited Stoke Audi on Saturday and they must have had around 13-14 on site in various spec.

Speaking to the sales guy he said that the group had 51 within their network, either physical stock or on order.

Mainly Performance and Performance Carbon Vorsprung… there doesn’t seem to be many Performance Carbon out there..
