Heated steering wheel ??

I’ve not gotthat on my current vorsprung? I assume it was available on later cars? Hopefully it’s on my perf vorsprung

Are you sure? The button is hidden away; press the three dots [...] on the climate control panel and it brings up all of the options for fragrance, ioniser and heated steering wheel etc.

Yep same on my S6, and heated wheels are usually round not flat bottomed (as I assume they can then fit them to ‘regular models’), but did notice that the PE configurator states heated and flat bottomed, so maybe that’s changed.

I’ll double check, but I don’t think the early cars came with this, mine is a 20 plate and the first my dealer has way back when

Well I can confirm my wheel is flat bottom and is heated. I thought they removed spec because of the covid / ukraine supply issues...

Just had an update from my dealer. Build week 18 for the RS6 Performance. Delivery May / June all being well with no timelines slippages

Good news on the build week. Nothing for mine yet but they are expecting it soon!

Yes, week 18 all sounds very promising. The 'non performance' carbon black I had on order was at week 18 23' when I cancelled. I placed the order on may 1st last year.

I’ve had my performance confirmed for build week 13. Dealer said they’ve still got a bunch of non performance orders to fulfil which have now been pushed back to after week 20. Makes no sense to me how Audi can run a schedule like this (not that I’m complaining in this instance..)

This was exactly my frustration… the order I had running from last May kept getting pushed back and performance models were put ahead.

I guess it’s to do with keeping the hype and ensuring enough cars hit the road before interest calms down. The press cars will be all over the net before too long I imagine.

All that being said I hope you guys with early build weeks get the cars quickly!

Congrats, that’s an early build. When did you order and what spec?

Had paid a deposit before the launch and order went in on launch day, so assuming I might have been near to top of that dealers list when they submitted. Gone with carbon vorsprung in sebring, diamond cut wheels, carbon ceramics, gloss carbon extras, and front/rear dashcams. If it doesn’t slip am hoping to have it in April sometime.

Just heard from my dealer, my B/W has moved in now B/W 13 as well, which is W/C 17th April.
Based on past experience 4-6 weeks to land with the dealer, so hopefully May

Dealer confirmed current A6 will be killed this year and replaced with new all electric A6 in 2024 (will be revealed end 2023) and thus the petrol RS6 will also cease production. They recon the run of the RS6 performances will be a short one before the A6 goes fully electric next year
