longy_UK Have you got a build slot for your RS6? I wonder if there will be many being converted from standard to performance?
I seem to remember when the RS6 came out a few years back, they had some odd ‘bastardised’ specs released first then vorsprung builds ? It’s anyone’s guess I suppose, I know the RS3 has about an 18 month lead time 😱

Hi Michael.

I have a build week that keeps moving.

Was initially week 50 (22) for months and then pushed to week 8 (23) then out further to week 21. To be fair in the last few weeks it has pulled back from 21 to 18 then 14. All of these weeks would present over a year from order to actual collection.

Yep, if they want to give me some extra toys i'd be pleased. But I highly doubt it. I hope they pull their finger out; build the remaining RS6's in the first quarter and then start the performance builds. Over a year wait for a car its bonkers.

My big fear is that the rs6 etron will be announced formally next year while many customers are waiting for the 'old' one. But then I imagine it would be a two year wait to get one of them...

I hate waiting... Hate it

I suspect etron RS6 will be 2024, with another sizeable ££ increase, definitely on my want list

Am I right in thinking UK spec options don’t include any external carbon fibre trim (except mirrors) or B&O advanced sound system with pop up tweeters?

Be interesting to see the inevitable comparisons with the competitors. Car Wow Drag Race and acceleration tests will be interesting!
Now I’m in one of said competitors (E63s estate) I’d hazard a guess that the C8 PE has its work cut out and then some..and that’s straight line stuff as well-on a challenging road forget it. Not a popular view on here for sure (been meaning to throw a review up in the ‘rivals’ section for a while now) but I’m dumbfounded as to how capable the AMG is.

All of these cars perform exceptionally well.

I didn’t even open the door when I went to look at the E63s. Its ugly. I couldn’t spend this sort of money on something that I didn’t love the look of. Never mind how fast it hits 60.

None of them look exceptional now. BMW have lost the styling plot, though M5 is least afflicted. Audi have been heading to peak Halfords for a while and Merc, well, is Merc. E63 is least overstated of them all.

Peak RS6 was C7.

Has anyone placed an order (PCP) yet? Dealer is telling me that there is an issue with Audi UK that hasn’t loaded the leasing terms yet…

Latest rate change to factor in? Those VWF rates are bonkers.

Lot more to the AMG than 0-60 to be honest. I’ll give you the looks-from the rear it looks like a bog standard diesel (which can also be a lot of fun to the unwary). Audi RS has that aggressive look well sorted (I’ve had two C7’s and a C6). The AMG has a few ‘quirks’ but essentially out of the box it out performs and out handles the RS6 with ease am afraid. It’s the most exciting car I’ve ever owned and moved around under you-exhaust note is a high point as well-the RS would need to be tuned and have after market to compete but still lag way behind in excitement. Sorry to say all this-I’m plainly a huge Audi RS fan but quality is quality.
For a long drive I’d choose the RS as they are just more comfortable. For a challenging road and a massively exciting drive-E63s all day long.

I’m not sure you can order an E63 anymore

I suspect Merc will be releasing E version like the new c63e soon

Apparently not for the E Class-not sure what they have planned.
As for the C63s…..680 bhp but 2.1 tonnes. 2 litre 4 cylinder with speakers in the exhaust for extra fakery. Seeing as the USP of AMG is noise etc the fanboys are not impressed!
The new S63 E Performance at least keeps the V8. No idea what they have planned for the E63 hence why I’m enjoying the animal whilst I have it.

Crikey... Basically the same build week as me and I ordered on May 1st. I'm currently 14 for my Carbon Black.
