Beautiful enjoy!lem wrote:Picked it up Friday. You’ll love it. Does everything an RS6 but 100 times greater. I loved my 991.2 TTS. Assume you’re clear of build pain caused by the semi conductor shortage?lem wrote:Couple of reasons, firstly, I have a 911 Turbo S shaped itch I need to scratch, and having waited patiently for a year that day is nearly here!
Secondly, I have realized that 99% of the time, its just me in the car, so do I need something quite so big. My wife has a big family wagon, so I'm going to try to do the sports car for everyday use thing (although I have convinced her the 911's back seats are fine for short journeys!)
Have loved the RS6 and would probably get back in one in the future, in particular if a performance version comes out, but for now I'm counting the days down to realize that childhood car dream!
Ill be back in another RS6 at some point though......just waiting for them to announce a performance version!

Re: RS6 performance
Reving this thread with regards to any news on a Performance version coming out anytime soon?
I ask as a face lifted A6 just been leaked in china and a very fast 2023 RS6 on the nurburgring on YouTube too would lead me to think we *may* see one for the 2023 model year.
I've been sitting on the fence in my trusty C7 waiting for the PE which will probably be my last hoorah in a V8 ICE car.

Re: RS6 performance
Quite a timely revive to this thread as I had a message from the dealer I've used previously just a few weeks ago saying that it looks like Audi are likely to make a Performance model, possibly available end of 2022.
While not in an RS6 currently its back on my radar and be interested to hear what a Performance model will be like. While driving up the M1 the other day I followed lovely new a Daytona Grey RS6 and made me realize I actually missed mine as a daily driver

Re: RS6 performance
I’d say that can only be a PE model they are testing there and not before time-all those CarWow videos where the C8 gets humiliated time after time have been heartbreaking. Goes to show how the opposition have caught up in a major way.
C8 PE would have to be packing some serious firepower (thinking 650 bhp +) to take it to the M5 Comps and E63S’ and redress the balance.

Re: RS6 performance
Max that engine makes is in Urus at 641 and I can’t see it being wound up to those levels in this application. More likely is hybrid drivetrain, make good numbers but it’ll weigh as much as the sun.
Given how Audi have approached other sectors I cannot see them outgunning anyone here.

Re: RS6 performance
I don’t think new pe version will beat current m5 competition or e63 s Audi failed with c8 already, c7 was a king
P.s I think Audi now need look to c9

Re: RS6 performance
So, in Australia, looking to order an RS6 (to replace B8 RS4 which I love) and want to not miss the performance version.
Heard rumours that either there will be a performance version in Q3 or Q4 of 2022 or possibly an e-tron version of RS6, with performance running ahead in the sweeps about 3 to 1
Anybody got any update. Definitely don’t want to order “ordinary” to find out if I’d waited a month …
And don’t want e-tron version (although it has some appeal) as I sometimes need to do 700-1,000 kms in a day and Oz doesn’t yet seem to have the infrastructure to charge enough ev’s.
Anybody know more ?

Re: RS6 performance
So I've signed paperwork to get myself on the list for a Performance version, but no timelines, price or specs available as yet. I've basically got an order form 'pending more details', so just holds me a slot with no obligation until I know more and place a deposit
The dealer seemed pretty assured a Performance model is coming at least to the UK, but I'm waiting to hear more info and there hasn't been any update since Jan

Re: RS6 performance
the RS6/7 deffo needed to have 650bhp to compete with rivals, its sooooo dog slow stock. I had my RS7 c8 stage tuned 3 weeks after buying it. Now it runs a 5.6 100-200 (faster than a stock new 911 turbo s midrange, they are 5.9). I had an M5 f90 stage one before this and was so disappointed in the RS, even a stage one m5 is around similar performance to a stage 2 C8 RS. Audi missed a trick when they brought out the c8, its slowest in its class
