Crikey... Basically the same build week as me and I ordered on May 1st. I'm currently 14 for my Carbon Black.
I did ask them to confirm this was 2023 and not 2024 :D

I bet! Well fingers crossed for you bud; my week seems to change every week so keep in touch with your dealer (and let us know!).

Its beyond me how Audi don't know when they'll build a car. Here I am almost 8 months down the line and non the wiser...

Still will be smoked by current amg e63 s and m5 performance, I don’t understand why Audi can’t compete it like it was when c7 rs6 was released, it won against current m5 and Mercedes

Time will tell but I suspect you’re correct Tadass. The capabilities of both those cars is the stuff of legend now. The RS has more presence and is holding its value well though (including the C7) so you can take comfort in that. For a long journey I’d also take the RS as the AMG is a thirsty beast and not that comfortable to be honest. You may think the AMG looks like a hearse (I can’t remember the word you used to describe mine Image) but it’s the fastest and most capable hearse out there!

Not an avant/estate though (have to go to Alpina for that), brilliant cars though but sound oddly muted for a V8-AMG do it so much better (for now).
M5 CS is a strong shoe-in for one of the best performance cars money can buy. Incredible things.

Heading in to my dealer to spec up an order on Friday. Any pointers from those that have ordered the Performance?

I have a 2020 Vorsprung Nardo Grey with cognac interior that I will be coming out of.

I am going to go back to Mythos Black with the Black/red interior. Black diamond cut wheels. (Black/silver)

Things I love about my current RS6 that I want in the next one are: Panoramic roof, proximity indicators when a car is coming alongside and head up display.

From what I can see I pretty much have to go for the Vorsprung again or has anyone managed to spec a carbon black to that spec at a saving?

Thanks

All now come with HUDs, I think the proximity sensors come in one of the option packs, but I think only the vorsprung comes with the panoramic sunroof ( I could be completely wrong!)

Just thought the vorsprung was probably best value ( if you can say that about a £130k car !) but from a residual perspective it’s the best option.

Hi Giles,

You can spec a standard car with the 'high tech pack' (pano roof) and the 'City Assist Pack' (lane change assist) to get all the bits you want. And yes the HUD is now standard.

Mind you if you also want the new style wheels that's about £9k of options so you may as well get a Vorsprung....

Thank you for the replies. Yes, I think it points towards the Vorsprung….

At the dealer at 11am tomorrow, so will see how I get on.

Thanks again.

Yeah order placed before Christmas and deposit paid:

Vorsprung
Daytona
Gold wheels
Grey interior
Carbon mirrors
Gloss carbon pack (have to have this to add carbon mirrors)
Dash cam front and rear

No clarity on timelines.....they did suggest Sept not with any certainty. Could be later could be sooner. Hope for an update this / next month

I got an update to say mine is still tracking BW16, I’d be surprised if it didn’t move out, but my dealer seems reasonably confident that once the BW has been received they tend to track
