RS6 Rejection!

Had an RS6 now for just under 6 months and sent it to the dealership to have a genuine Audi tow bar fitted to it and by them doing that they have managed to wipe the drive select from the car meaning it hasn’t got any driving programs including use of the RS features on the dash, use of the RS button and the valves on the exhaust remain shut constantly. The car sounds like a 2.0l petrol now and not having any of the drive select features or RS features I’m arguing the car is no longer an RS6 and not fit for purpose! The car has been in the dealership for 2 weeks now and Audi Uk cannot fix it so it’s been escalated to Audi Germany the factory and they still cannot fix it!! The car has also had a load of electrical faults from new, pre sense slamming the brakes on coming on to a roundabout causing dangerous situations for me and my family, windows dropping randomly in the middle of the night, pre sense faults in anything but dry weather oh and every time you start the car you get a message saying my Audi settings have been changed so I want to upload or discard and this fault Audi have admitted that there is no fix for!! I have informed the finance company to reject the vehicle so they will be on with this Tuesday morning!!

Blimey, that's not good for a 100k car.

A friend of mine has had similar software issues albeit not an RS6 just a boggo C8 diesel.

what a disaster Lee.What your post has done is make me think about mine RS6 Vorsprung just over 6 months old low miles with all that's going on.
In Feb when we had the snow went outside thought the windows looked really clean-all 4 windows open +sunroof:result loads of snow inside, luckily temps were low so got rid of it without damp or smell. It's happened once more and I put it down to the key being super sensitive
I've had 2 brake horrors both using predictive cruise control, had to take over and old fashioned double pumped the brakes at which point they worked fine.
Pre sense in the rain does not work, all you get is warnings on the dash telling you that. And when is the time you need that most,of course in heavy rain.
About 40% of the time Apple carplay does not work, even to the extent I have to turn the car off and start it again.
I've been lazy and haven't got the dealer involved yet but reading your post has made me wonder if it's the car and not me.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Its definitely not you! It's the car 100%. I was working outside once with my friend and the windows just dropped on the car, my friend said I must of accidently pushed the button in my pocket so to prove the point I done the windows back up and left the keys on the wall so it was physically impossible to press the button and within 30mins all the windows were down with the sunroof open! I would get yours booked in but the downside to that is when you get it back you might have more faults to deal with. When mine went into the dealer for the issues with the windows and the pre sense it came back with the additional fault telling me that I have changed myAudi settings every time I start the car when I haven't, apparently there is no fix for this which is crazy! Pay over £100k for a car with faults they can't fix :audibash:

Audi - what an absolute shower they've become.

Luckily you have consumer law on your side.

You can just let the rejection process progress - though you'll probably need to inject some aggression into the process at some stage, as they're total cowboys.

Good luck - come join us on the Porsche side.

I agree, I had Range Rover SVR's before and there customer service knocks spots of Audi's!

I have voiced my aggression a few times and the dealership doesn't seem bothered hence the reason I emailed Andrew Doyle (CEO UK) which in all fairness they responded quickly and just told me to reject the car and there was nothing they could do as they are not responsible for their franchises (dealerships). Quite bizarre really seeing as the faulty goods came out of their factory!

Thanks, what Porsche have you got?

That's my argument, why create something you cannot fix!
