Suitable trickle charger for RS6

With all the new batteries fitted on cars today is there a certain type of trickle charger that should be used on the RS6 C8?

I have an old CTEK trickle charger but not sure I should use this on the car. I understand there are newer versions out now should they be used instead?

Are there any complications with the 48v hybrid system using a 12v charger on the usual charging points under the bonnet?

Not that I am aware of. I've been using the NOCO GENIUS2 to keep my C8's battery topped up between the far to few journeys (essential of course) that I make in it.
