Lowering springs

Post by GAZ-MAN » Wed Nov 25, 2020 11:12 pm

Hi all, just ordered some kw springs from qst, but am just wondering will this affect the whole warranty on the car if I change the springs or just anything relating to the suspension side?

As usual with these things, modify and you’re rolling the dice. Ultimately down to the dealer.

If the car is financed then check for clauses on modification, another trap many fall into.

With the warranty you are normally OK, they just won't cover anything if they can link it back to the mod.

You also need to be aware that most gap insurance doesn't cover modified cars. So if, like me, you declare your mods to your insurance company then I think you'd struggle to get the gap insurer to pay up in the event of a claim.

But, I think just lowering springs would invalidate any springs or DRC warranty.

I use KW adjustable springs, ride is as comfy as original, and stance is very nice, little bit lower, but not slammed as a low rider.
Had it on my C7 too and was really happy with it.
