Hi,

Collecting my RS6 today, is there anything I should look out for/ check? Looking forward to getting it after having 3 x SVR’s, last Audi I owned was the Gen II R8 V10 Plus but I need the extra space now so the RS6 made more sense and I’m not that keen on the looks of the RSQ8!

Will post some pictures up later :D

Enjoy.

Only thing to note on collection is reversing, it took me a few days to get used to the 4WS, turned in really quickly and a little odd seeing the rear wheels change direction.

I also turned off the key less access just as a security precaution.

Awesome car enjoy

Agree with Michael, only done 1700 miles in mine and kerbed nearside rear 4 times !!!! tried cameras still didn't help.
Take time out on the techo,if you're not used to it,it's a re-education.

I came from a C7 RS6 to an SVR then went to the C8 RS6.

You will miss the driving position / height of the SVR and the bellow of that exhaust, however you are fully confident when you get in of a morning everything turns on!! :biggrin3:

As others say, be careful of the wheels. The SVR is surprising easy to park and due to the big tyre sidewall not massively easy to curb the wheels. The RS6 needs more caution as its much easier to clip an alloy

Yeah I think you are right about missing the driving position and the exhaust note, that’s what I found driving home that the exhaust is not noisy enough for me, want to fit an Akra but want my warranty also, I know on the C7 Audi Sport approved the Akra for dealer fit and warranty, wonder if they will do the same for the C8?

The SVR was temperamental wether the screens would come on or not! I did like the SVR but fancied a change as the new Sport will be coming out 2022 and didn’t want to lose a load of money!

I’ve only done 25 miles in the RS6 so far but it’s a very nice car, comfortable and quiet when you want it to be then changes with the RS button, just need more noise! Anyone fitted an exhaust? Has it voided your warranty?

Sorry the pictures are a bit rubbish!

Are you able to order a suede steering wheel on a vorsprung now ?

An exhaust would never void the warranty but they of course won't do any work if they can link it to the exhaust in anyway!

These cars also have a PPF so to get a proper sound you would need to remove that, then code it to remove CEL, plus it won't pass an MOT, and you lose warranty as you have to code.

I'm in the same pickle as you - tempted to just pull the trigger and go without a warranty, but seems a lot to trade in for a bit of noise lol

Was thinking the same! Would have ordered one but when I placed my order it wasn’t an option?

Had a Miltek fitted, PPF back. It does increase the noise, and a much deeper note. In auto it’s a little deeper/louder than stock and in dynamic a noticeable difference.

Nice! I'm guessing no check engine lights?

The car had the normal perforated leather steering wheel and gear lever, I told them I wanted the alcantara steering wheel and gear stick and I think they were about £1,200 fitted but I got them thrown in on the deal for £500 fitted. I do like the alcantara steering wheel and gear stick as just makes it feel a bit more special inside.

I get what you are saying it seems a big trade off with voiding warranty for a bit of noise, still unsure what to do!

Yeah it does look very nice! I think lem's solution keeps the warranty as its PPF back.
