This green shoe with accelerator pedal that flashes up every now and again is so annoying to look at. What is the point of it? Can it be removed as it is so distracting.

Remove your foot from the accelerator pedal to slow down because there is a situation ahead that requires a lower speed. I believe it can be turned off through MMI > Car > Efficiency Assist > Predictive Messages

It can also vibrate the pedal, you can turn that off via MMI also.

put it into RS1/Rs2 or dynamic and have the gearbox in sport and it disappears!
