To be fair, most cars would lose in a sprint off the lights against a 992 Turbo S.

Luckily for our C8 friends here, the ZF8 is a very common gearbox so a lot of other cars they may be challenging off the lights will also have slush box.
Just avoid racing any of these:

You’ll have done well to get one for March, they are in demand!

Dealer best guess or nailed down order? I don’t think they have their allocations for 2021. Allocations have been very thin this year.

As far as I'm aware as confirmed as they can be as they have allocated me a slot, but whether this is a slot on their order list or a confirmed build slot yet we will see. We all know how these things can slip so could be their idea of best guess, although they took a nice chunk as deposit!

Ordered it back in June. Have to finalize spec before the end of the year (Nov I think). They said could be before March but lets see!

All I know is its an absolute monster. Love the RS6 but this is a totally different world!

Initially thought about Gentian Blue, but leaning towards Crayon at the moment.

Really want to tie things like the yellow calipers in, so maybe Crayon, Black Interior with Crayon stitching, then yellow belts, yellow chrono and yellow tacho.

Honest answer is...I don't know, it changes daily! Need to see a few more before I finally decide

And your right. The only downside (and I say only with a small 'd') is the sound. But I'm sure everything else will make it up. Then I can jump in the RS6 to the shops and enjoy the Miltek

Gentian is lovely and very grown up

I debated crayon for ages - went carrera white in the end - and it looks different in different light And not always in a good way !

However get the black accents right and it could look great

Or I could go Python Green! I did have that thought for about 2 nano seconds! Your right, Gentian is lovely, but as you say very grown up. Most I have seen (and that's not many) have been Silver, which again is grown up, but has benefits of not looking dirty quite so quickly.

Crayons still the front runner at the moment

Crayon with black tints in front and rear lights. Need to add some interior accents. Contrast stitching good start.

I’m not keen on the twin ovals for the sports exhaust.

Dealer will still know it’s been mapped.

I don’t think it’ll trouble the best cars at the traffic light Grand Prix as the gearbox is too slow.
Not sure what you mean? My gearbox is far from slow! Had many fast cars previously - this is equal to pretty much all of them, if not better.
Compared to the best double clutch offering it’s slow. And in the traffic light Grand Prix contest it’d lose horridly to a 992 TTS which is king of that trick.
Probs with the double-clutch are the limits - the latest ZF's imo are <beep> hot.

Check out the 50 repeat launches one of the mags did with a 991 TTS. There’s no problem with limits. A sloshomatic couldn’t do that.

I thought he meant the torque limits. Audi's DCT is not used on their high torque cars. I appreciate Porsche have managed to make their PDK capable of high torque loads now and could be borrowed for the Audi range but I'm sure it would bump the price up of the Audi's to a level that would make them uncompetitive with their rivals. And the difference would not be huge, as the ZF8 is a very capable slosh box.
