Depends massively on your postcode area (
http://www.carinsuranceexplained.com/ca ... -list.html), living in a F* the cheapest I could find was with PaceWard at £1600, that with 13 years NCB and 1 claim for stolen keys, they requested a ghost immobiliser and that the car has to be garaged on a night amazingly I checked on Compare the market with a A rated postcode and it came out at just over £500 compared to £2200 at my address.

Just checked the list and I’m in an F* area as well.... thanks for that. Have you had a ghost installed? It concerns me the possibility of messing up the car

LV insurance. Been reasonable for my last few cars. My C8 is £750, 14 Years NCB, ‘D’ area according to the link above.
But had to have a tracker. Quotes were nearly double without. Asked about a ghost and there was no difference between Vodafone tracker or ghost when I got my quotes

Weird, my postcode area isn't even on that list! Nearby ones are though, mostly B and C.

This is such a personal thing that you won’t often get a reliable/helpful answer and even then what worked for somebody one year won’t work the following
Our 3 main cars had been with LV for years with great service but on wife’s Macan the price was a lot ore than others this year with no changes for us eg accident/convictions etc

Will add tracker and ask to be required tomorrow with the hope of hope of getting something “reasonable”

Yeah, had ghosts on all my cars for the last 3 years or so, some cars they work better on than others for example C7 RS6, M4 and Discovery, with the C8 RS6 if you get the code wrong or forget to put it in, it seems to take an age to get the engine started again but certainly gives peace of mind, also I've had the odd issue since getting the Vorsprung with the cruise control not working sometimes, never had this my standard C8 RS6, it's definitely ghost related. I do prefer the ghost to a tracker as there's no monthly subscription and it stops the car disappearing in the first place.

***UPDATE***
After going through either very expensive quotes (up to £8k per annum) or brokers and companies such as Aviva not willing to quote, Adrian Flux came to the rescue at £1585.-
Tried the 4 main comparison websites, 5 brokers and 4 insurance companies directly.
Thank you all for your replies.

Im paying £450 for my C7PE, full NCD and an SP30, according to that site I am in postcode band B, so is the new C8 so much more expensive to insure?
