Audi UK has just released the configurator for 2021 models. What comes standard now on the Vorsprung trim is the auto parking feature where the car does the steering manoeuvres by itself. Anyone knows if it is possible to retrofit in the 2020 cars? That was really annoying that Audi UK left this optional out of the initial cars (including the Vorsprung ones).

I had it on my C7. Never used it. Wouldn’t bother.

Not sure I’d ever trust it, what happens if it kerbs your alloys?

I had it on my C7 too. Used it the first day I got it, never used it again in over 3 years. Don't bother.

Quite agree, used it three times, almost curbed my alloys once, haven't bothered since. Looking at the Audi configurator for the Vorsprung there is also a price increase of £3k for MY21 (on my spec at least).

Most auto parking does it by reference to other vehicles and won't be detecting, let alone looking for, kerbs.
So you're totally at the mercy of how well they've parked and the relative width of the vehicles. TFWOT.
PS I have it on my Volvo, used it once just to see if it worked (which it actually did) but never ever since in 4 years from new.

I used mine once and it was the only time the wheels were damaged as it struggles with low kerb height. Nice to have for resale purposes but that's it in my opinion.
