Yeah think your right, and I think I’ve gone for the quieter option, but wasn’t keen on having my OE chopped so will see how it sounds.

Unfortunately there are not many videos or others who have had them fitted yet, so difficult to judge how loud the difference between the two options will be.

Had it fitted today. Pleased with the result.

Much deeper note and a little louder but nothing too extreme and over time the note will change as it beds in and gains a few more carbon deposits. Went for the Black tips, which are bigger than the standard ones and fill the gap in the bumper well.

Couple of pictures attached....but its not the cleanest at the moment!

You do like a Milltek!
Will be interesting to see how the sound develops.
Well done, I hope you are well and keeping safe?

Im Hertfordshire so drop me a PM and we can see if that works for you.

Its sounding good, the fitter said the tone will change a little as it settles in....but its definitely a huge improvement on the Audi Sports Exhaust. Stick it in Auto and its still whisper quiet on a cruise, but once it in Dynamic then there is a marked difference

The only annoying thing is the soft limiter on the car!

Glad all is well.
The RS4 still does everything I want and yes putting it into sport has the desired effect! I have thought about replacing it but I am not sure what with!
You didn't seem to have the C7 long did you not like it?

Loved it, but I’d had a lot of Audi’s and fancied a change. We had bought my wife a Range Rover and I loved the driving position and how it just wafts along, so tried to combine that with some power and bought an SVR.

Sounded great, went pretty well, brilliant driving position, but, the electronics were frankly shocking. You never knew what would come on and work each time you started the car! And for something £100K + is just wasn’t acceptable, so back in an Audi again where I know everything will work!

Have a nice weekend toy as well so the drive is pretty much as I want it. But knowing me I’ll get itchy feet again in 2 years so if your in the market then for a C8 then let me know! :biggrin3:

Right back to the Porsche 911 Turbo S configurator........

I thought I saw you mention an SVR. They do sound lovely but as you experienced they are a Range Rover. Can you imagine the issues when it's 3 years old!
What is your weekend toy? I had a lovely MK1 TT sport but after getting the RS4 I didn't use it, so I sold it.
I have considered a C8 but I could handle having a black car unfortunately! Which is a shame as I know you look after your cars. Next time you buy a car can you consult me on the colour!
Would the 911 be the replacement to the RS6 or the weekend toy?
Have a good weekend!

Please tell me Milltek haven’t used the same tacky design of the two pipes just ending and then a separate oval?

It looks cheap and so after market

They did this on the C7 also?

That’s not worth over £3k maybe for noise but looks NO!!

Unfortunately it’s the same design. Tips look great but your right the pipes stop short of the tips.

Only other option was the Akrapovic, but I don’t like the new tips on it and it was coming in at over £6k. Also I don’t think you can get one for several months as Richter said they haven’t been able to get hold of one yet

Have one of the new Aston Martin Vantages. Real head turner, sounds awesome and goes well, however on a wet or greasy round about it’s a bit of a handful, whereas the RS6 would just plough on

I’d probably replace the Aston, as I still want a daily driver I can get more then 2 people in. Have always wanted a 911 Turbo and and may think about it next year!
