Not in stock now until end of March ish (with black tips). Akrapovic have confirmed theirs wont be ready for another 2-3 months. And not heard back from Tubi yet.

Take the point on the Milltek and the fact I wont even see it, and to be fair I have already had one. No doubt the Akrapovic will be mega expensive, and will depend on what the tip option is.

Not sure yet which way to go. I want louder...but not too loud. Maybe a bit more research needed, in some ways I am given a level of comfort that Akrapovic was a 'semi official' approved part by Audi on the C7 however, not sure main dealers would void warranty just for an exhaust (always a worry when the car is new)
You never had a warranty issue with the RS4 did you?
I certainly haven't and it is still under extended Audi warranty. My dealer didn't see it as an issue.
Worth having a chat with them before you spend the cash?
The Akrapovic is going to be £6k plus I guess.

It looks stunning and thank you for the review - I’d cancelled my order last week as I still couldnt get the spec I wanted so decided a rain check for a while would be sensible - but now I’m thinking maybe......!!

How are you finding the width compared to the C7 ?

Not too bad. I haven’t taken it down many country roads yet, but I have a commute into central London and it seems to feel smaller when you drive it than it looks on some of the smaller back roads.

I maybe over thinking it, but I am sure the 4 wheel steering is making it feel smaller as it definitely turns in a smaller circle than my C7 and feels more manoeuvrable.

One thing I am surprised about is the suspension. My C7 was on air, this is on DRC. It seems to soak up the bumps and lumps really well, with far less thumps through the cabin than the C7. Hopefully I’ll get to have a play at the weekend in dynamic down some better roads.

The weekend will be the test as I’ll have to face the dreaded multi storey car park for the first time! Not looking forward to that! In particular ensuring I don’t smear the wheels down a ramp or round a corner!

That's reassuring. I've just put a deposit down for a Vorsprung edition and will be moving from my C7 which is on air with 20" wheels to the C8 with DRC and 22" wheels, I was worried that around town it would shake so much that my children would be sick.

My 11 year old has managed to hold his dinner down so far. Although I haven’t taken him for a proper ‘drive’ yet. It’s really compliant and comfortable but still precise and eager to change direction without much body roll

I have to use surround cameras on my C7 to negotiate multi-storey car parks. I’m hoping that the 4WS and better quality surround view in the vorsprung will make it easier?

Good to hear the DRC Is comfortable. I’ve got the on my perf currently and it’s not too bad, hopefully the newer version gives a more compliant ride

Cheers

The 360 cameras on the Vorsprung are fab. As well as top-view they have a 3D setting which you can move round the car and see it from literally any angle. Its brilliant!

It’s on Pirelli’s. P-Zeros’s. Be interesting to see if Audi put different tyres on different cars, or stick to one brand

I've had all sorts on my RS cars, Bridgestones. P Zero's, Dunlops and I think the launch car at my dealer is on Hankook's. Yet to see one delivered on Michelins though!

Never seen a brand new Audi come with Michelins. They normally have a selection of 3 tyres. The C7 came with Pirellis, Contis or Dunlops. The latest RS4 added Hankooks but not sure which brand was dropped to replace it.

My B7 and B8 RS4s came on Pirelli’s. Swapped over to Supersports on both at first opportunity.

Have decided to make the move up to the 6 and should be collecting my Vorsprung in a couple of weeks - am assuming I’ll not be getting Super Sports!

Am very excited to be moving up to the 6 - feel that I’m a grown up now...

You wont be disappointed. One week in and with this weather I have realised there isn’t much point to point that matches it. Drove it back to the dealer today in horrendous rain and it remained bloody quick and sure footed all the way.

Mines back at the dealer as I’m having the wheels changed from the titanium finish to the black and silver finish of the Carbon edition. Was potentially something i was going to do, and made the decision today. With everything else black on the car the black wheels will blend more than the titanium ones on it now.

Get it back next week. So far its impressing me more each day.

However....I have requested if they do a Performance model then id like to be on the list for that!
