They seemed to have added that extra weight but not done a lot else! I still think it's the best looking car.

Anyone going to wait for the RS6 perf?

Not eggs for eggs
As not an RS6+
A fairer comparison would have bee standard AMG, M5 and Panamera Turbo
But the 6 did look good

The 6 looks the most aggressive and arguably the best looker, no doubts about it. However, that’s not a good advertisement for the C8, It’s lost it’s rawness from the C7, put on the weight and not really gained any power. It got thumped in every test there, slightly embarrassing as it’s supposed to be “King”.

I was watching another video on YT where the C8 struggled to break into the 3’s to 60, think it was tested at 4.0. The C7 was hammering that at 3.3 in real life. I think my own C7 posted a vbox 3.27 0-60 run with only a few hundred miles on the clock.

Price is astronomical, sounds pretty poor and now we learn it doesn’t go particularly well (in comparison to its competition) Audi have slowed all their cars down recently with these emissions standards. The 2.5t cars have had GPF’s fitted to them which has slowed and quietened them down. Not sure if the 4.0tt cars have the same restrictive exhaust setups?

Think I’ll be holding out for the Performance model and the 15-20% discounts before taking the plunge. The M5’s can be had for £70k or even less these days and it won every test there.

If I was looking to change cars now it'd be a no brainer; you can get a 2019 M5 Comp with 1500 miles for £65k. Compare that to at least £100k for a half decent spec RS6. No thanks. M5 Comp now then maybe an RS6 Performance / facelift in a few years with decent discount.

I did exactly that, loving the M5 - will be interesting to see what the perf is going to have under the hood, I am pretty certain it is going to be a full hybrid, which should be in the 700+hp range.

C7 will be the high point for the RS6. Its equitable on power with the others in the test, give or take, its a long way behind.

I am pretty much of the same mindset, probably looking to change late summer and am tempted by the M5C, it's a better drive but lacks the fifth door and some of the drama. My Audi dealer does look after me so I will see what's on offer, but suspect it won't be enough to keep me in an Audi this time.

I think there's a lot of potential in the C8 RS6 that obviously hasn't been realised yet.

Watch this space.

I thought there would be a lot more power in that new engine - here's 796 bhp 1107 Nm from a stock engine for starters:

Yeah

Air intakes are straight from grill into engine unlike C7.

Bound to help with getting car into engine.

Seen the car wow video with the four cars and I know it came last in everything but i wouldn't exactly say it's slow, you would hardly notice the difference between them if you drove them one after the other. Before I bought my C8 RS7 I had a look at an M5 comp and you do get a lot for your money but it did seem very dated compared to the audis and mercs.i nearly went for an E63s but they were offering me <beep> money for a B9 RS4 that was only 6months old.Audi would obviously sell the car themselves easier and I got a good deal as they were desperate to shove the car up my arse with the Corona situation looming. Looking back I'm glad I bought the Audi but you guys have made several good points that it could be better i.e. more power but its plenty fast for me at the moment

It would be more interesting if they did back to backs on road or track to see how the handle at speed rather than a point and press race
