RS6 now at "Quality Control"

The new RS6 has apparently been built and is at the "Quality Control" stage of production.

I guess all being well it shouldn't be too long now although I know there are lots of variables, like sitting at the port for a while etc.

From past experience hopefully 2 to 3 weeks to go.

Brilliant. Which Build Week were you, out of interest?

Build week 3 if I remember correctly. Finalized my spec on 9th November but the build slot was already in the system as dealer had put a temporary spec in to hold it for me

Mine was supposed to be Build Week 8 but seems to have moved on more quickly than expected. You never know. I am guessing 3 weeks after yours.

Will be great to see some photos of yours when it arrives.

Not long to wait now.

Isn't there a major change in vehicle tax due on April 1st? (Moving to WLTP ratings for CO2). Will that mean that RS6s road registered before that date will benefit from a lower tax disc cost than after that date? Are you guys all pushing for a pre-April delivery?

I am not sure. First year on the new RS6 is £2,135 in the total cost of the car ordered, then £465 per year after that. Wasn't aware of other changes.

Just checked it out.

In summary, as far as I can see from April 2020 a lot of cars will move up bands but the RS6 is in the highest already so no change.

Collecting tomorrow. PPF / Detailing company trailered it to the dealer yesterday. Its had full PPF then interior and exterior protection. Detailer sent me over a few pictures, so at last I know what it will look like. Will get some more up tomorrow post collection and first drive!

Did they protect the finish around the gear selector?

Have we seen pictures yet?

The RS4 is going really well thanks, I will probably keep it for a bit longer. I just don't know what to replace it with. I tried a B9 RS4 and I am not sure I am ready for a V6.
Glad you are doing well, did I mention pictures!
