Car forums do descend to Pistonheads pits pretty quickly don't they?

Journalists are often professional failures from the disciplines they write about, and motoring journalists are usually wannabe racing drivers.

Therefore when they get their hands on the latest and greatest hot motor like the M5 or whatever, they feel obliged to shred the tyres in a day's opposite lock tyre-smoking, and complain if it's difficult or unrewarding. Watching Clarkson, Needell, Harris or especially Mark Higgins going sideways is great fun, but it's not real life is it?

What fast Audis are good at is giving owners what they need. Sometimes that's driving fast, and sometimes it's hauling the family and luggage on a long journey in bad weather and traffic, and getting there comfortably and safely. It's a difficult juggling act, and the real target to hit isn't necessarily clipping apexes.

I’ve seen the cars in the flesh in 3 colours now, bardo black and Daytona.
For me the Daytona grey looks amazing, black looks ok and nardo wasn’t my cup of tea (although I like nardo in an RS3 or RS4)

Are people being a touch sensitive with their rose tinted glasses ?
I don’t think it’s a problem if you don’t like the car. But a few people including myself have bought the car, does it matter what deal / discount we have got and what we will do with the cars? Regardless of our rose coloured glasses if we can afford it and we want it then does it actually matter?

I’m not looking to flip my car or make money, I want to enjoy it and that’s what I am going to do. If you don’t like the car then don’t buy it. Seems like you have decided it’s not for you so relax and do as you like.

As this is a forum, people will express opinions. If you don’t like the opinion ignore it. No need to get defensive. As the saying goes; opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one.

Buy it or don’t buy it! I don’t believe anyone is dictating here.

People attach great importance to opinions, but I think they're over-rated. All they do is cause arguments.

So anyhow....build slots and dates.... 😂

Almost 10 days in and no dates yet, how long did other people have to wait before a date was available?

Might start building my own at this rate! Not that I’m impatient of course.

I went in today for a separate issue and spoke to sales. Lookers group have sold 37 cars so far, the chap I spoke to sold a few and deliveries are ranging from April-July (July for Audi exclusive paint).
The nardo grey they had in stock was sold and locked up but can't be registered until 28th Jan... Another test mule being delivered to this dealer in a week "launch spec".

Great news. Very exciting. I think you had a build week of 3 if I am right? On that basis mine should be five weeks behind yours

Got an update for dealer too. Mine is now in the UK but he still thinks it could be a few weeks!
Anyone know how long it takes from UK depot to dealer?

Yes that’s right. I’m hoping it gets to the PDI centre around mid Feb. Gets PDI’d and the PPF company will pick it up from there. They want it for about 4 days then will trailer it to the dealer for collection. So hopefully towards the end of Feb for pick up!
