I don’t regret it for a minute. Yes, I’ve had two alternator failures at around 19,000 miles and 38,000 (they seem to only last 19k miles). But aside from that, I’ve had it for four years, and I grin every time I start the engine. I can’t think of another car I’d rather have on the market.

I found the throttle response and gearbox mapping in my C7 RS6 Performance much sharper. The C8 RS6 performance is a little disappointing by comparison to that car. However, every other aspect of the car is a step on from the C7. I think the C8 just needs a stage 1 ECU & TCU map, or maybe I need to try a C8 Performance?

Ive had the C8 Performance for most of this year and love it. Ive had 2 C7 including Performance and still find the C8 far more refinded and far greater handling. It doesnt feel like a big car now with help of the all wheel steering. The suspension I wasnt sure on at first but now used to it, what a change from the C7. In drive its mega comfy and dynamic, so very different. As like the C7 theres 2 personal drive select modes, which can be set to give you good inbetween dynamic and drive/comfort.

Perhaps I'll go against opinion on this and say that I did rgeret getting out of the C7 into the C8. Probably becuase my C8 was unreliable and the dealer frankly didn't really seem to care, which made the experience all the more forgetable - I loved both of my C7s (one standard one performance) and currently have a M3T which reminds me somewhat of my first C7 RS6.

One month of ownership of my new 2025 RS6 Avant Performance. I have no regrets. I traded in my 2017 Porsche 911 S. The versatility and beautiful appearance of my RS6 Avant was the deal maker. A different kind of performance but just as exciting. The Porsche was made for the track, the RS6 Avant was made for the Autobahn. I do miss the 28mpg I could achieve with the Porsche but that's the price to pay for 5000 lbs. vs. 3500 lbs. Both accelerated equally hard as the Porsche had a Cobb tune.
