Not talking about your particular car, talking about previous years specs of the current generation of the rs6. The point I want to make is not to accept these actions from Audi as normal and "fine". But that is just my opinion, feel free to accept whatever you like it.

I see what you mean, completely agree, I guess the option is to look at alternatives, new M5 estate I suspect will be pretty special

Audi have a had a lot of problems with wireless chargers overheating phones, which may be a reason for them removing it from the Performance.

As my order (Jan 2023) still hasn’t started build it is now coming with the 2024 updates to the RS6, although the dealer doesn’t know what they are yet. Will see about wireless charging.

As for the “waving your foot under the rear bumper”. I am glad they are removing it. Keeps happening to me in my C8 RS6 at the worst possible times. Embarrassing at petrol stations putting something in the boot and the dreaded beeps start and the tailgate starts to close on my head……

I don't understand why they are doing away with genuinely useful functions such as wireless charging and keyless entry and replacing with gimmicks like night vision? Other manufacturers have managed to implement wireless charging without overheating issues, and keyless entry without security implications, so why can't Audi.

It also calls into question why the £ premium for the Vorpsrung over lesser trim levels is even higher than before.

My maybe cynical 2 cents, having worked in the industry for many years, I suspect they’re running low on parts not helped by supply issues with Ukraine etc. On the night vision assist specifically, my take is they had a box load of them as no one optioned it, so they’re now trying to use them up 😉

I wouldn’t pay just for night vision as an option, but it’s quite cool

Slightly lame question…. the cabin ‘fragrance’ feature, does it actually do anything? Tried a couple of times and can’t smell anything!

Lovely job, perfect timing as I will be changing my C8 RS6 next year. From carmagazine "The RS6 Evo should be on sale towards the end of the year and will likely cost north of £100,000 – especially considering the standard car’s £92,000 price tag." https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/spy-shots/audi/rs6/ Now all I have to worry about is should I go for Nardo this time...

I suspect you won’t get much change out of £150k for this. The current performance vorsprung carbon is £130k

Can't say im taken by the 'Halfords' style spoiler.

Clearly this seems to have different bumpers etc. The rear reflectors are completely different. I guess that's why the car is largely disguised.

Interesting though as my dealer said he'd 'seen' the new RS6 in Germany when there on a work visit and it was going to be a 750bhp hybrid. Perhaps this is it and it will actually be the final gas guzzler before the new all electric model is released.

We'll see.

I would think these will be very limited numbers of around 300 in total like the recent Comp versions of the RS3 and RS4.

How they achieve another performance increase will be interesting…. the cheap route will be to breathe on the current set up to around mid to high 600’s hp that things like Lambos etc that use this engine have.

Although a big number could be achieved by going hybrid to keep up with Merc, I’d be very surprised if they go to all that trouble on what is now a very old platform. Battery space would be limited - yes they do an A6 hybrid so possible but I think that car is FWD? Can’t believe there’s any space in the back of an RS6 that isn’t occupied by rear axle, exhaust system etc. Having said that, does the current Panamera Turbo S E-hybrid share this same platform? If so I guess that parts bin could be used.
