Exhaust valve delete

Post by Concreteboy » Mon Nov 22, 2021 3:16 pm

Has anyone on here fitted the exhaust valve delete modules? I'm a bit nervous about fitting somethin bought of some bloke on ebay, but may be I'm over thinking it. Just want to improve the exhaust note on my RS6 C8 vorpsrung with sports exhaust?

Also thinking about an APR remap....

Thanks in advance for any (helpful) responses.

As much as he irritates me, I saw on his YouTube channel that Archie Hamilton had a Kufatec control module fitted to the exhaust valves on his new C8 RS6 by ABT UK. I can't say if it's any good or not - best watch it and make up your own mind. Save yourself the pain of watching all of it and skip to about 7' 30".

Here's a link to a Kufactec system on eBay, but would require fitting it yourself:

Nice, just need to find somewhere in Leeds that would fit it for me.

Looking at the cete active valve control module for the C8 it looks very similar if not the same externally to the C7 module. I fitted it to my C7 and that was easy enough to fit. And works seamlessly with the oem system but gives manual control via the traction control button.

I don’t get the point, it’s like if you want to drive always open you just use individual mode in Audi select and you get always open, why need this module anyway. Or use dynamic and it’s also always open.

I was looking at this and watched the irritating video with AH, in it the ABT fitter mentions that even in dynamic mode the exhaust valves aren't always open, however, in my experience I couldn't tell when they close if they do in dynamic - is this right or is it as per Tadass' post and it's pointless and just go for dynamic or individual mode?

In my c7 I just pulled the 2x electrical connection plugs that connected to the exhaust value. Done.

I don’t think this exhaust valve delete module is a solution, change exhaust that’s a real change
