Seriously considering a move from my ageing B8 S4 ( MRC stage 2) to a 2018 model RS5. But very unsure of what is and what is not standard on these cars.
Things I would like are; Matrix LEDs, B&O, sunroof. Sport diff is std I believe.
But what about HUD ? And utterly unsure of the suspension and exhaust configurations - what is std and what is better ?
And were RS5s sold with any interior colours other than black ? Not seen one yet.
Ta muchly

Re: RS5 options to have
Thanks, that helps. Looks like the features I would like were all options. Not sure if cars came with the usual ‘packages’ though like black optics, comfort and sound etc. i guess I just need to look at cars on their individual merits ( if I could only find one down here in the well known desert for used cars - the West Country).
But having a real head v heart tussle at the moment. I have seen an extremely well specced S5 ( early demonstrator) at a local dealer) with just about everything bar a sunroof and the kitchen sink. But at 6 years old there are some scuffs on body and wheels to sort and a small rust spot on a rear wheel arch. It is being difficult to get more than a summary history from the dealer ( oil and inspection services and recalls are listed but without any detail - what about plugs, filters, brakes etc). Seems they are not prepared to provide more detail without a commitment to buy ( even though they are keen to sell it). Just don’t understand that attitude - if I were buying a house, or work of art, I’d certainly expect to see more detailed provenance. That said they say they are prepared to do some light work in the bodyshop ( eg repair small scuffs on wheels and body ).
Sensible head suggests the S5 (£10k cheaper) which I can always tune a bit. Heart says go for the top model, with the higher running costs.
I’m far from a boy racer but, whichever car, do like the feeling of having a bit of ooomph under my hooves if I need it.
Anyone moved from an S5 to RS5 ? Is it worth the extra ?
