I have fitted a smaller plate to the front of mine using a pair of clips that you can bur on ebay. They fit into the grill and the plate slides into place. /not suitable for automatic car wash though as the plate comes out. I have recently bought a small plate holder, again from ebay which looked nice quialty, but I haven’t fitted it yet. Number plate attaches via strong magnets and it is apparently car wash safe.

Is that legal as the lettering is very small?

Nope. It’s easy pickings for the rozzers, don’t understand why anyone risks it.

I have small plates front and rear on mine. To stay legal they must have the plate makers details (mainly postcode) on the plate as well. Never had any issues from Plod at all.

If the digits are the correct size it’s legal, if not, they aren’t.
