Best Intake for B9 RS4 ? have your say

Post by Leask » Tue Apr 16, 2024 9:40 am

hey all im fairly new to this forum, having owned my RS4 for a little bit now and after spending a lot of time on YouTube :bash: and on the forum searching and searching it seems everyone has there own preference. I would like a carbon enclosed intake over just a cone filter.

The ones ive short listed is -

Eventuri
APR
034 Motorsport
IE

price is what it is and wont directly effect my decision. APR has a replacement intake pipe off the turbos , will this give better gains over the others?? however the lower bolts seem a nightmare lol.

They all look great , sound similar ... so what you guys using? had experience with? like and dislike?

thanks for any info and advice .

Hi there.
I’ll chime in first with a maybe not so well known one in the rest of the world, GruppeM intake system.

https://jp.gruppemdirect.com/en-eu/prod ... i-0227_156

Price and configuration is somewhat similar to Eventuri. You can see what it actually looks like in another thread here:

The only substantial difference would be the filter. This one takes K&N instead of a proprietary one. Fitting is fine and the carbon weave doesn’t look as nice as Eventuri but that’s kind of reflected in the price. Performance wise I can’t really tell the difference from the stock filter. The noise insulation on the B9.5 RS4 is too good to really hear the noise it makes… just an occasional and really faint whoosh in the distance if I really try hard to catch.

I’m interested to know how Eventuri users are feeling… I suspect it’s not that different?

IE intake and turbo elbow, perfect fitment and if you want carbon there is the carbon option

don't believe the hype about the bottom bolt (just make sure you have a 1/4 rachet and wobbly extension and the correct torq bit, the PCV pipe is bugger but you need to slide something inside the fitting to release it

priced very very reasonably and if you order https://performancebyie.co.uk/ the items arrive within couple of days and no import charge

I have Eventuri, excellent quality looks great but expensive & not overly convinced it done much to improve performance. It has not changed induction noise very much and I suspect it would benefit with exhaust system but I not going there as yet
