Creaking doors

Hey chaps. The front doors of my b9.5 have started to creak / rattle when driving over our wonderful uneven b-roads. The car is a year old with 7k miles. Only occurs when windows are fully up, so perhaps something to do with the door cards?

It’s booked in for next month, would be good to know if anyone has experienced something similar?

Be interested to know, I had to put my 2019 rs4 sport last year because the drivers door card buzzed on certain road types and deep base from music

Apparently this is a common issue among VAG cars.
Rubber weather strips start rubbing against body panels making faint creaky noises. Mine did the same on the passenger door and applying Griot’s Rubber Cleaner on the strip did the trick.

I think some sort of silicone based rubber protectant will be good as well.

Dealer applied some sort of applicant across all door seals and door contact points. I asked them what, but they weren’t able to say. It seems to be holding up okay, but let’s see.

What’s odd is that it would only happen on dry days, not on wet days.

I remember someone on the B8 side put me onto a stick of something that you rubbed on (looks like a pritt stick, if you know what I mean) but it did leave a bit of a mess

I may have to if it returns, so let’s see. Disappointing this happened on a 1 year old car though!

My 5 month old 1300mile just started creaking on the drivers door card area and the back seat/luggage area. It’s all empty and I never use the boot to be fair. It’s booked in around 3 weeks time at my local dealer. Also for them to have a look at the squeaky brakes at low speeds in addition to the above issues mentioned

Nothing more annoying that. Have a look at this stuff. Made in Germany and great for keeping door and sun roof seals nice and supple..it goes on great. I use it annually, especially when I give the Sun Roof a wee service.
