Valve controller fitted

Fitted a Kufatec valve controller to my Rs4 and at 2000 rpm it booms like mad when on the motorway cruising around 70 mph and pushing on. What can I do to the exhaust
To switch it out ?
Anybody had the same problem and what did you do to fix the problem.
