Apr intake worth it?

Post by afcbadam » Mon Apr 03, 2023 8:17 pm

Anyone with experience of the apr intake kit or is it there to relieve you of £1500 for nothing? Their claims of a 19bhp gain on a stock far seem a bit far fetched to me..?

I'll follow this with interest - Been looking at the Eventuri and APR intakes myself. Think they look great and should add some sound. Not sure which ones the better of the two so still looking into it.

Good video of the Eventuri on a Mk8 Golf R - before and after with a standard car and the same with before and after once the car had a tune added:

I could of condensed that in to one post but putting another post in - aim was to get the thread going.

It worked but not with the reply I was expecting!

Well maybe we can keep it going until it gets going!
There is no doubt they look great… however could you really detect a 19hp gain? As a percentage that’s fairly low.

Well that sounds like a plan! :beerchug:

I agree, doubt you feel that small gain but for me personally, I was mainly looking at it in terms of sound (as I have a Milltek catback), and hoping they can give a nice induction noise and everything else is a bonus!

I have fitted an Eventuri carbon kit, can not say noticed much change in performance or sound! Though does look good and well built.
