So the one thing I can’t work out with my B9 is the parking brake doesn’t come on automatically once you have completed your manoeuvre, selected P and opened the drivers door.
Has anyone else got that lurching sensation if you forgot to apply the parking break when you take your foot of the break? I’ve had electronic parking breaks on my B8 and a Golf GTD but the both came on once the drivers door was opened. Could this have been coded out - what do you guys have?

I think that if you just stop the car with the start stop button whilst in drive then the parking brake comes on otherwise it is as you say.

Not the best solution for letting it idle after a run however.
