Guys I am looking to put fresh summer rubber on my car
First choice was Michelin pilot 4s but can't find a set anywhere on enquiry all I can get is mercedes MO in PS4s
I have looked at Goodyear F1 asymmetric 5 but there run flat not a fan
Brigstone do a new potenza sport but they seem to fall short of the Michelin's
So my question is what's the downside to using MO tyres

Someone with the converse problem here: https://forums.mbclub.co.uk/threads/mo- ... es.189465/
Consensus seems to be that it's largely irrelevant (MO marking).

I just got a new set of 4 * PS4S's this morning. I was not told about any shortage.
Infact there is a £100 cash back from Michelin if you buy from a participating dealer, mine was.

I went to my local tyre warehouse Micheldever Tyres near Winchester, they are now part of the Protyre chain.

Are your MPS4s the non manufacturer specific
Not Mercedes MO tyres

They are the non manufacturer specific but they are 19". If your looking for 20" then I THINK they will be "Especially suited for Mercedes"

Mine is on PZeros in that size - cant say I test them to the limit, but they are wearing OK (well apart from the two on the back that Audi paid to replace after the alignment was out after a recall on back axle...)

And they have a great rim protector!

Most of the folks on here will tell you that the PZeros a about the worst tyre you can fit to the RS4
You will notice a vast improvement in grip handling and wear moving to Michelin / Continental/ Goodyear
Having had PZeros on my previous RS4s

They might but at 75mph on the M1, they all do a job, and that is about all it gets used for these days...
And they are brand new on rear, less than half worn on front so they will outlive my ownership I would imagine....

I have gone for Continental Sports contact 7 and getting MPS4s was impossible unless I took the MO Mercedes fittment
I Get them fitted this week will post my thoughts on them after I've done a few miles

Just an after thought. One possible reason for the lack of availability of PS4S in 20" is that we now have the PS5.

But from what I read the PS5 is not a replacement for the PS4s
Taken from Tyre reviews

Michelin Pilot Sport 5Michelin has just launched the new Michelin Pilot Sport 5, and it looks to be a very interesting, but perhaps not what we expected, update!

First up, some general information to clear up some confusion online. This tyre is not a replacement for the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 AND 4S. The Michelin Pilot Sport 5 (PS5) directly replaces the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 (PS4), and while there's been no official announcement about the replacement of the Pilot Sport 4 S (PS4S), it is likely this will be replaced at some point in the future.
