Understand that there's 'a reason' Audi apply Soft Limiter on (all?) models in recent years.
Some Owners and or Auto Journalists lament that can't listen time to time to exhaust in Park or Neutral.
An accidental condition I noticed today when lifting wipers from windshield ahead of overnight snow ..... and which might be amusing to some :
- Car (a B9 '19 Model) in Park, or Neutral, ......and in Dynamic Mode
- Using Vehicle Settings, select 'move wipers to 'servicing position'
Whether by coding intent or by coding oversight, the Soft Limiter appears to default to OFF [albeit wipers are positioned upright on windshield ].
In my case the Engine was cold, & close to neigbours, so I did not want to rev max - I'll check further at different time.
The Soft Limiter normal 'smothering' of exhaust however, at 4,000rpm or whatever, no longer operates as intended.
Exhaust can be heard while revving in unrestricted mode.
......or maybe my situation is a unique anomaly??
