Hi All,

A new member to the forums here... I picked up my new B9.5 RS4 (Carbon Black, Daytona Grey) earlier this week. A lovely early Christmas present after a lengthy wait! I'm delighted with the car - a monstrous upgrade from my previous B9 A4 (190ps edition)

I have a question relating to the virtual cockpit display modes. Whilst waiting for my car to arrive, my dealer kindly loaned me an RS5 for a day. I spent a bit of time playing around with the various MMI settings, including the RS display modes for the virtual cockpit. I recall the "runway" display mode being available alongside the default "hockey stick" view, but this isn't present on my RS4. I know it's available on (all?) other RS models including the new RS3.

I'm not necessarily a fan, but was curious as to why it wasn't there. Is it firmware related, or just not available on the RS4?

Love to help but no idea what you are talking about. Sorry.

The original had the round Speedometer and rev counter
The face lift got the hockey stick type

What year is your car
I think the cockpit was updated 2021

Your 2nd photo shows the hockey stick which I think Kevin has. He is looking for the "runway" mode.

Ok I understand what you mean now don't think this is available on the RS4 seen it on the new RS6
Which to me is back to front as the revs come towards you instead of away

I agree… the rev counter view seems back to front to me. I’m not sure I’d have used it, but was surprised it wasn’t there when it seems to be on all other RS models

Seen some plug/wire in gadget on aliexpress allowing models to have the RS mode. So might be something more than just coding.
