Exhaust centre resonator delete

I have just had some centre resonator delete pipes fitted to my car.

HG Motorsport BULL-X 2.75" Non-Res Centre Mid Pipes Delete For Audi RS4 RS5 B9

They are brilliant, it sounds so much better, especially in dynamic and is a nice easy and cheap fix. I haven’t heard any drone yet and certainly non in quiet mode. The pops and crackles are quite a bit louder, and it sounds very meaty on the cold start. Unfortunately I couldn’t get the Cete Automotive valve controller fitted at the same time as the chap that fitted it was no it too confident about cutting wires in the wiring loom. I need to look into that one a bit more. Has anyone on here got one that they fitted themselves?

I didn’t have to cut any wires when installing the Cete controller.

I also find that with the exhaust valve open using the Cete controller I get drone between 2000 and 2500 rpm on the stock sports exhaust, and am looking for ways to reduce the drone.

Ok so how did you connect the orange wires into the loom? Also if you have you MMI set to auto does it not let the car system work the valves as per normal? Is it not only when you force the valves to be open all the time with the traction control button that you have that problem?

Very interested in doing this to mine, do you mind me asking what the total cost was?

Presume the sound increase is well worth the outlay?

I bought the pipes on eBay for £2xx and it cost me £40 to a friend to fit them. Money very well spent, I would not hesitate to do it again.

You merely connect to the orange wires, not cut them.

I get the drone when the valves are forced to the opened position.
