Hi folks, I have just got my new RS4 protected with XPEL PPF. Full coverage top to bottom and the piano black interior trim also.
XPEL Full Car Coverage - Audi RS4
Having had around 60% of my previous car protected with Official XPEL UK PPF and experiencing the benefits it provided, I decided to go the whole way this time and have my new car covered top to bottom, including the piano black interior trim pieces.
A lengthy cleaning and preparation process the whole car was wrapped in XPEL Ultimate Plus PPF before being coated with the full range of GYEON quartz coatings inside and out. I opted to go for the top of the range MOHS+ coating again after having it on my previous car.
Now that lovely Navarra Blue paintwork is fully protected against what the winter months will throw at it.

Looks great! Wish my paint was that good. After seeing that I'm going to book it in with the detailers

Looks great spidmack!

I've just had mine partly ppf'd with the Xpel.. Front bumper, wings, bonnet, A-pillars, small strip on the front of the roof, side skirts and some around the wheel arches of the rear bumper. The the rest of the paintwork G-Techic ceramic coated and further protective product on top.

Three years old soon (new to me a couple of months ago)... Paintwork was in pretty good shape before but it's incredible now... Not sure the photo does it justice really.

Beautiful, looks fabulous! Love Navarra blue - and and the stainless trim/silver wheel combination.

Enquired about the Xpel PPF for my current weapon this morning and was quoted £1500+ vat for the front end - does that sound about right?

Sounds about right... My pack was £1650+VAT with a few small bits more than what you were quoted for by the looks of it.

Here’s the post which Clark did on Facebook. It’s got more pics & some info on the xpel track wrap I had on the car for drive home from the garage 300miles away & also while waiting for a space at Clark’s business.

The bottom pic shows the temporary xpel track wrap that I was given to put on to protect my car on the way home. You just stick it on quickly to vulnerable areas. I was advised don’t spend any time trying to do it neatly. So as you can see I didn’t. Apparently it helped prevent some damage.

Hi chaps,
Car looks great but personally I can’t get my head around doing another 2k on PPF wrap on a car you’ve just bought.
It still gets dirty and has to be washed every week or two regardless, PPF or not.
If I was buying a used car I wouldn’t pay a premium for a wrapped one.
Is it just me??🤔

Hi Nastro, yeah it is expensive. The ppf is more to try to protect from stone chips & scratches. Rather than keeping it clean. A good ceramic coating would help with that.
On my last car an M4 it really helped. I replaced one panel of film on the front which a big stone hit. No re-spray was needed. Many other little injuries just self healed.
Here’s a video on xpel. It’s amazing material.

I get it on something shiny and Italian. I don’t really get it on an RS or equivalent unless it’s a keeper and you’re precious about the finish. If you’re going to daily it and bin it after three years it’s a loss leader.

I do get it - you have a nice car, its got your hard-earned in it and you want to keep it mint for as long as possible, we are all different. I keep my cars close to showroom condition in a heated garage - would I sleep with it? Probably not.....
