Retrofit TPMS system

Post by Dannyboy123 » Tue Dec 01, 2020 9:23 pm

Has anyone retrofitted the tpms system that shows individual type pressures and temperatures? If so, is it difficult to do?

Over on the Q3 Owners Club forum one of the members, no having the factory installed option got one of these from Amazon:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Spurtar-Pressu ... NrPXRydWU= and is pleased with the result.

My B9 RS4 had the option installed and then hassle with an 'O' ring leaking air. The current F3 RSQ3 has the £250 option factory installed - so pressure and temp sensors in the wheel with steel valve stems.

You'd think that Audi would have given the software some sort of compensation table to allow for the temperature of the tyres increasing the pressure wouldn't you? Nah, my RS has tyre pressures of 33 psi (you end up having to by a decent digital tyre pressure gauge to get the pressures set the same on each axle), 10 miles down the road each tyre has a different temp reading and pressure - truthfully it's about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Go with Amazon...

I would prefer to go facetory tbh, Ali express have a kit for £140 but just need the coding doing. Doesn't look to hard to fit tbh but just wondered if anyone had done it.
