B9 Sump dipstick... Is there an OEM part no? / alternatives?

So... daft'ish question from a newbie...
Have sussed there is no physical sump dipstick in the B9 and I'm not totally comfortable relying solely on the MMI info, so am looking at sourcing one that's appropriately calibrated at least as a double check against what the car says!
I've found various aftermarket ones that the parts websites claim will work but I just wondered if anyone had either an OEM one (part number would be great if you have it please) or had experience of anything aftermarket that does the job. Also, this might be the daft bit but I want one that remains in the tube permanently, just as I'm bound to misplace it otherwise!
Many thanks.

Thank you. I saw this thread and did a bit of searching on that product and didn't see the 2.9 lump quoted on the Laser tools website, so was a little reticent.. That said, I'm sure it's fine but almost wanted an OEM part number to work off for belt and braces.. If indeed such a thing does exist.. It does look like it could be ideal though once you lose the chain.. I'm probably just being over cautious

You are correct the Laser adjustable dip stick doesn't have a setting for the RS4 B9 I bought it for my A4 B8.5 2.0 TDI Black Edition when the 2.9 biturbo was no doubt still in development and just repurposed it. But it's simple, if your MMI gauge is showing full and the car on the level, then put your dip stick in and adjust the top stop to suit the full reading on the bottom.
Make a note of the readings for the future.
That I know of the Audi tech's do use a temporary dip stick during service. There may not be a stick available to leave in all the time as it maybe that the bottom of the dip stick tube exits too close to a moving part of the engine? I can neither confirm or deny, I would hate to leave one in as a test and have bits of plastic or metal shaved off it and into the oil galleries!
I hope this helps

Thanks Jools... Makes perfect sense...Have never had the need to consider an adjustable dipstick before as this is my first car that hasn't had one as standard.
And fair point on the risks of leaving the dipstick in.... Don't think I'll go down that route after all.
