Hi Folk,
Just had a frieght after considdering a Tow Bar for my Rs4 sport edition September 2019.
Audi has just quoted £2,400 inc
That is a mechanical Folding down version.
Can anyone advise if other options exist, What concerns me is when I bought the car I opted for Extending warranty, My concern would Audi have issue with this.
Cheers
Paul

Hi RWG ,

I have a Tow Trust Detachable Tow Bar fitted- don't think it will affect the warranty unless it is directly connected to that issue ..

That was around £600 fitted

I'm interested in this also. When you build a car on audis website it just says towbar is not avaliable with drc, no mention of the carbon diffuser

Hi I still want to get a towbar fitted to my B9 RS4, however I have DRC. I only want to use a bike rack. My pondering question is if it is physically possible or do the DRC reservoirs prevent fitting?
I don’t want the bumper removed to then be told it’s not possible. I can’t find any photos on the web of a DRC vehicle with the rear bumper removed. Does anyone know for a fact?

Thanks
Paul

I dont think the drc cars are homologated for towing, you need to check the vin plate and see if the weight is listed for towing...2nd weight down I think. If you check will you let me know for certain as I'm interested in this aswell. If the weights are on the vin automotive control Bristol will help you out with the info needed as to whether one can be fitted with drc, I'm sure I read somewhere that they have done it. The std audi towbar cannot be fitted from factory with drc but that may be because of the way it needs to swing up and down under the bumper.

Hi all.
I now have it confirmed by a tow bar fitting company that it is NOT possible to fit an aftermarket tow bar to a Audi B9 RS4 with DRC. It is physically not possible due to the DRC components locations behind the rear bumper. They have tried various manufacturers equipment and looked at possible modifications, but it was not possible.

Hi Folk,
Update on my questi for towbar dropped car off 8,30 this morning at a Local company then two & half hours later after bike ride in local natural trails job done and you would never know it had a bar fitted. £650
Manual hitch easy to apply and electrical plug swings up out of slightl, Nice job.

Added bonus the Tow Bar ctr had a full Cradel type 2 bike Rack that has Tilting option to allow Boot acess, drove away and did not need to dismantal front wheel on bike to load very dirt mountain bike back into car.
Very happy chap,
Shame on Audi for there quote £2k plus.

Yes, I suspect not. Though I have not peered underneath car to Check if there are Hose's on bottom of Shock.
Can you tell if there are other means to Check, IE through menu's?
Cheers

Yes, if you use the My Audi phone App, you can see your vehicle spec including the options such as DRC

Hope this helps?
