Re: RS4 Exhaust
Hi, looking at doing this as well but worried that you will ecu errors, have no CEL warning happened?Jeloz wrote:I looked at that option but landed from the USA and fitted here in Sydney was over $1000 AUD so I went firm this path below (copied from the other exhaust chat)
Very similar outcome I think to the solution above but not stainless steel which is just fine!
I have posted the images on my RS4 Instagram account

You will see the two front resonators , various other exhaust shots and then a gap where they were cut out and finally the two straight pipes that replaced them.
Any good reliable muffler Shop can do this , search round on forums etc or Audi Owners on Facebook .
I now have the resonators in the garage should I want them welded back on but in reality anyone I sell my car too will want this louder sound.
Cheers
Jeremy

Re: RS4 Exhaust
Hi Guys, I have heard that the centre resonator delete is great but see here that removing the secondary cat is also worthwhile, I am just concerned that it causes a CEL warning? But hearing different comments from people would really like to have clarity as to whether I can remove the two secondaries as well

Re: RS4 Exhaust
I’m just looking at getting one for my car at the moment. I will also fit the Cete valve control unit that I have had sat here four the last 6 months at the same time. So long as it doesn’t drone I will be happy.

Hi Brooner,
Stainless creations in Falkirk would do this for you. Works of art they do
I'll be using them for my B9 once my B7 is back from them
Cheers,
Mark
Re: RS4 Exhaust
The pipes i had fitted were probably one of the best bits of money i have spent on the car. It sounds so much better now with the valves open than it did before and still nice and respectable with the valves closed. I would whole heartedly recommend this mod!!

Re: RS4 Exhaust
Could you please share what you had done? I want a bit more sound out of mine but don't want to lose the relaxed mood of the car when the valves are closed.Tweaky wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 1:16 pmThe pipes i had fitted were probably one of the best bits of money i have spent on the car. I simply bought the HG Motorsport Bull-X 2.75” centre resonator delete pipes on ebay - here is the link https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164500597633
You have to cut the original resonators out to fit these pipes, but it is straight forward for an exhaust fitter. You can always refit the original resonators again if you want to, you simply need a couple of sleeves. It transforms the sound and there is no drone which was important to me. Valves closed it is nice and quiet. Valves open it is pretty loud when you boot it and the pops and bangs are better. It is a very cheap fix to the quiet sound of the standard sports exhaust.
