On a 2018 pfl.
Apple carplay worked fine untill a few weeks ago. It stopped working altogether.
If I plug it in nothing happens besides charging. Carplay doesn’t start as it used to automatically.
It isn’t in the mmi menu neither.
BT is fine, and works for calls and music.
IOS was updated to the latest version. I presume thar’s the issue...
I use the original Audi cable but the Apple one doesn’t do anything either.
Siri is activated.
Anyone else with issues? Does the mmi need an update? (Still the original version that came with the car)
It’s as if Carplay is gone.

No problems with mine- 18plate, iphone11
I use wireless CarPlay connection in mine but can’t see that would make any difference

Mine does this every so often too. I generally change the apple lead as they get damaged pretty easily, and that seems to sort it

I tried 2 leads, the oem Audi and an Apple one.
No result. It’s still not working.
It connects the phone and charges, siri works, but carplay doesn’t activate any more.

That's strange. Sounds like a trip to the dealer then

I will try out a buddy’s iPhone next.
What MMI software version do you have? Mine still is on the factory one, no update yet.

Hi Pieter, my iPhone 8 with iOS 13.5.1 is still working on my CarPlay.

Little update.
It turned out to be phone settings to cause it. Works fine again.
I did have the SW update too, that repaired a few glitches like a backing camera that keeps going to graphic top view.
