Bronze Edition

Post by Tanvr6 » Sat May 02, 2020 5:22 pm

Hi,

Does anyone here have any more details on the Bronze edition?

A few ads on Trader, but no actual pictures.

I am looking at biting the bullet and going in to order a new one from Local dealers, but wanted to know what the Bronze edition would look like in the flesh.

Not to keen on the Alloys from the Vorsprung or standard edition.

Loving the look of the 20” from the Sport edition.

From what I’ve seen, the spec on the Bronze edition is not as comprehensive as the Vorsprung aside from paint, interior etc.
The wheels are rather nice though!

I think there was only 25 Bronze edition cars in the UK, I think they are all in the UK now & some are still a the Stealers as they cannot sell them !!,
I paid 70 for a Carbon Black with a lot better spec , I cannot see them being any more desirable or worth that much more in years to come.

Its a lot to pay 82500 for one in my opinion.- un less you want to be a very select few.

Vorsprung or Carbon black is a better option.

All the best & enjoy Haggling- it will certainly be a buyers market when this is all over !!
Sold B9.5 RS4 !! WHY i keep asking ! looking sat ordering another before a new model arrives
RS4 2020 Navarra & Jet Blue Gen 1 R8
RS4 Sepang 2015
RS4 Suzuka 2014
RS4 Cab Daytona 07
RS4 Cab Phantom 58
RS4 Cab Phantom 06

Crazy, also too many to list in between, get board too quickly but hopefully not this time !!

I’m with you on that Spark.
If you want pretty much every extra you’re better off with a Vorsprung, plus you get bragging rights of 174mph top speed!
Carbon edition with good spec is better value.
It was the same with the B8 nogaro edition. Different paint and interior, an upgraded price and lower spec.
Definitely a buyers market after the lockdown so worth waiting and haggling!

Spark, any pics of your R8??

Bear in mind the factories are closed at the moment so there is no car production and also there may be a lot of pent up demand.

Hmmm, interesting...
But not to keen on those wheels?

Need to see these different editions in the flesh!

Can’t see it personally.
Cars are going to be a low priority for most after this is over.
Seen new carbon edition @ £65k and new vorsprung edition @ £73k on Pistonheads classified.
Stock cars but don’t know if they’ve been registered though.

I'm with Nastro' on this one as the world is falling into a global recession the like of which has never been seen before. The airlines are suggesting that it will be 5 years before air travel gets back up to 2019 levels such is the loss of confidence in commercial life reflecting the fact that many people just don't have the money.

New cars, like leisure travel are 'discretionary spend', a decision made with a free choice balanced off now against being cautious over unnecessary expenditure. I would expect the values of high value assets like cars and property to fall dramatically as supply will exceed demand with punters having to exit stuff (loss of employment etc) they bought pre-recession which will push prices down still further.

The dealers, supported by the manufacturers, will likely have to heavily discount new and nearly new vehicles just to move 'new' inventory or risk having stuff sat in dealers compounds that is a year or more old and unregistered - a particular problem for make-to-stock business models.

Depressing.

I am a little more optimistic about the car market. Yes it will be slow to get moving again , but all of this will prove that the car is the safest way to travel bar none! I can see demand climbing , manufacturers will be marketing cars with pollen and vivid-19 filters!
Also motorhomes and caravans will rocket in demand, as public transport, planes, trains, hotels, holiday lets all suffer! Tickets for the Eurotunnel will double in holiday periods.
