Seeing as we've all got bugger all else to do, who else has been out shining up their cars ?
I'm so bored, I even took some pics of it with a drone
My B9's 2 years old today, and easily the best of the 4 RS4's I've had over the last 10years

:D Looking good Graham,
How many miles have you done in 2 Years ? ,
I have had my B9.5 a month & already realise its better than the B8 my Miles. :D

I have stopped machine polishing now otherwise it will be a similar colour to yours

All the best mate

It's on about 32k now I think
I missed the noise and the DSG of the B8 initially, but as soon as you hit the throttle or turn into a corner and not understeer straight on, you soon forget about the V8 sound track :)

Agree with all of the above re the B8 ( which I thought was excellent BTW )
The B9 is so much better. I love it even though I’ve hardly driven it!

Nothing else to do, so I took the wheels off and detailed them and gave the wheel arches a good clean too. Looks nice now, just a shame we can’t drive anywhereImage

I used Poor Boys wheel sealant, same as I used on the wheels. I did the same on my old S4 with great results once a year. Image

I bought the car April last year when it was 9 months old, so this was the first time I have taken the wheels off and treated the insides & calipers.

Me too...no longer with an RS4. Back when I had the B9 I bought a couple of machine polishers, one large orbital and a smaller one- specifically to address those gloss black strakes in the sills that are so vulnerable to scuffs. Have been on a learning curve with them having clay-barred a car for the 1st time the other day, with plenty of time, patience and YouTube one can achieve an amazing finish to the point that I can't see that I'll have a car professionally detailed again.

Usually it’s the time factor with nice weather that doesn’t allow us to do much detailing, unless you have a large garage. With this time off, we can do a little bit at a time, the good weather is a bonus. I guess normally we would choose to drive the car rather than polishing it

I still need to do my sill skirts, they have shoe marks. All the other panels were fine with some needing just some minor marks polishing out by hand. I’ll get the DA out for these sills, I think they need PPF for the future before they get badly scuffed.

PPF is the way I would have gone with the sill skirts had I kept the B9. I have the garage...
