I have a pano roof in my RS5, I would say from performance perspective, does not really impact it, recorded an official 0-60 time in 3.6 seconds (stock). The down sides are it does creak, especially when cold. Audi looked at it, lubricated it and it still creaks a little, only during the winter months. My little S1 does the same thing. I just live with it now.. They are nice for a sunny day and let in plenty of light, if you have a dark cabin..I think I would spec again given the chance..

Hi,
I have a B9 RS4 which is now 20 months old.
It has the pano roof and DRC, both of which haven’t given any problems so far. The B8 & B9 pano roofs are the same except for the switch. I had the pano on my B8 for 7.5 years and did experience some creaking and rattling at times. My Audi dealer told me it needs annual servicing (cleaning and greasing) for an extra £250!! They did it foc on that occasion and I purchased the special greases and did it myself from then onwards (and better). No more rattles or squeaks. I use it all the time, mostly tilted to let fresh air in.

There is a TSB about pano maintenance but I can’t attach it. Search on internet for:

Hope this helps.
