Any one know if this can be permanently disabled
as i have had 2 occasions in town where it applied the brakes for no good reason
i have tried tuning it off on the MMI but it re sets after the car is switched off and also had it set on the late setting
any of you boffins know if this can be disabled with Vag Com

Pre-Sense doing exactly that was the final nail in the coffin for me with my RS4 - felt it was only a matter of time before I got rear-ended.

Thats my fear john ill speak to Audi
But im sure ill get it can be turned off in mmi response
Hopfully ill get the coding to disable it

Having liaised with our Technical Support Team, we can confirm that it is not possible to permanently disable the Pre-Sense function in your vehicle as this is classed as a safety feature. Additionally, for that reason, it could also have insurance implications.

That being said, to ensure that there isn't an underlying issue that is causing the system to be so sensitive, we'd definitely recommend that you have that inspected by one of our expert Technicians at your local Audi Center.
