Exhaust valve control

Post by Tweaky » Sun Jan 26, 2020 5:20 pm

Has anyone on here tried this sort of valve control gismo?

https://www.active-sound.eu/en/audi/aud ... ve-control

I cant seem to get the exhaust valves to stay open properly, even when i set up the individual setting the be with exhust in dynamic mode it is still not the same as putting the gearbox into sport mode. It is quite frustrating so wondered about taking the control back with one of these boxes. They seem pretty price but if that is what it takes!

Any thoughts?

I had the Cete one which worked really well. Always shut in comfort always open in dynamic. Settings remembered even through an ignition cycle so the car didn't revert to comfort if left in dynamic.

The Cete devices are good (and they are a nice company to deal with) - I swapped my unfitted RS4 kit for an RSQ3 version - same result in that I don't have to use Sport mode to have the lovely sound - consequently it stays in 'Dynamic' all the time.

I have also fitted the Cete AVC, it is rather overpriced i think, but seems to work well and installation was pretty simple.

The hardest part is trying to get the exhaust plugs off which is a bit tricky and will require small hands.

Agreed - it's expensive for what it is.
