28k miles in, and still happy
Had my B9 for about 18 months now, and covered something like 28k miles
Apart from a small issue with the fans going a bit mental due to a thermo switch failure, it's been absolutely faultless
It's been crashed into in car parks twice now, which my wife is adamant is due to the colour, but both times have been repaired quickly and easily and through the other people's insurance
The new Rs6 looks like a proper bit of kit, but not sure I could live with the size of it
Best RS4 I've owned so far, and easily the fastest and most capable
I still don't see many others on the road though

Yes, it’s called primer isn’t it? At least the whole car is the same colour and not just a wing or one door lol

Re: 28k miles in, and still happy
Had mine since 05/18 and have done 15k miles and still happy. No major issues, except thermostat and an issue with front camera sensor thing behind the rear view mirror, which caused some issues with auto head lights and some warning lights. But still loving the car.
My only complaint is the steering wheel. Whilst it looks nice, but having a flat bottom wheel is really uncomfortable to drive with. The steering wheel also could do with some more padding. Did contemplate getting it refinished by Neidfaktor, but have to send the wheel off.
Had her coated in Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra and done a few small minor mods:-
1. Changed to black emblems front and rear.
2. New Custom Vossen Alloys 20 x 10.5 wrapped with 275 30 20 with Michelin P4S
3. Retrofit Storage Cubby under steering wheel.
4. Fitted Active Valve Control for Exhaust Flaps.
5. Thinkware Dashcam
I would love to lower the car, but too many sleeping policemen in London + don't want to risk ruining the ride dynamics.
Considering the below:-
1. New Exhaust - but not convinced with all the currently available options. Don't like the Miltek or Remus options.
2. Eventuri Intake
3. JB4 - The car is fast enough for me TBH.
Anyone done any of the above have any thoughts on them?

Re: 28k miles in, and still happy
Hi, mine doesn’t have the storage pack, I like the idea of retrofitting the cubby hole under the steering wheel. Do you have a list of the required part numbers please? Is your interior black?
Thanks

Re: 28k miles in, and still happy
I've had mine since new in early 2018.
16k miles in, and happy overall. Hoping to keep long term so long as it doesn't become a money pit!
It's a top family wagon with a roof box on and have a set of 19" allows with winter tyres so going strong on the colder mornings!
Cheers,
J88

I had a JFA tuning box and imho it should have had that power from the factory. 520hp and 560ft2 torque.bing0r wrote:Had mine since 05/18 and have done 15k miles and still happy. The retrofit storage cubby sounds like a useful piece of kit. Can you pass on some details, photos etc and “user opinion”. Looking for replacement for still lovely B8 and Audi seems to be removing the usable storage areas on both the new RS4 and RS6, which is a pain for a daily driver that I do 35,0000 kms a year in ....
Cheers from Oz
Reread rest of thread and found the details ... brain likely to be “smoke affected”
Re: 28k miles in, and still happy
