It’s the same ZF 8 speed automatic that’s in the RS4.

In what way are you finding it different? 🤔
It is quite interesting, they may be the same mechanical components but Audi and BMW just seem to calibrate them quite differently.

Are you suggesting that BMW have done a better job and if so, in what way?

I’m pleased with the way it performs in the 440i and am expecting it to be even more ‘sporty’ in the Audi🤔.

Seeing as I posted that review I wouldn’t lose too much sleep over it. What Car cater for every type of car so could hardly be classed as a performance car specialist.
I wouldn’t read too much into it from a publisher that also covers Nissan micros and ford Mondeos....
Although I’m in a B9 RS5 it’s the same
Engine and the way it gathers pace is pretty astonishing. Just wish it was louder that’s all....

That’s good to know, stevoImage. I’ve specced the sports exhaust, but I think I’m gonna be disappointed in the sound.

I’m currently driving a 440i with power and sound upgrade - it sounds lovely and has a great engine. I’m working on the assumption that the RS4 engine is even betterImage.
I came from an F80 M3 Competition which was a stunning drivers car, the DCT gearbox could ‘kangaroo’ a bit and a well regarded flash (GTS) sorted most of it and also made the exhaust sound better.
I have the sports exhaust and unfortunately the latest models with PF deadens the sound even more plus puts in a soft limiter.
To me on a performance car to have such a muted sound is pretty poor considering the rivals (the 2.9 V6 on an Alfa Quadrifoglio sounds intense by comparison). For this reason I’m down for a non-res catback race Milltek which really turns up the wick. Gaining around 20 bhp isn’t going to hurt either.

My car delivered 2 weeks ago. What a car. Literally flying without giving you the sense of speed.

Yes Daytona Grey. Took me 3 weeks to decide, I was going with the new Sapphire Black available on the RS6 (exclusive spec for RS4) but it’s just black when dirty.

Cheers.
Was wondering whether it was the Bronze Edition colour.
Have yet to see one in the flesh.

Hi Spark,
I’m well; thanks for asking! Hope all good with you too!
Stafford bit to far for me to take a look as much as I’d like too.
Have only done 550 miles in my car and believe it or not, have yet to drive it at night!!
Still loving it though!
Going to France in it in September to see some friends so looking forward to that!!

Finally had my car out at night. Didn’t know it had ‘Audi Sport’ puddle lights! Very cool!
Interior with all the lighting details is really nice too!
I love this car!!
