19s v 20s

Post by Markp » Fri Sep 13, 2019 10:22 pm

Just switched my car back to 19s from 20s (I have C7 RS6 dished 20 alloys rather than B9 options) and, while they don’t look so good, the car is so much better to drive on the A and B roads around me - noticeably better ride and road noise/NVH with no obvious change in handling. Definitely the sweet spot for this car IMO.

PS if you are considering the C7 20s they are very light and very strong (forged). Much lighter than the B9 20s except possibly the milled ones (not compared with these). Offset is better than B9 wheels too.

Can't say I noticed any difference between my 20" and 19". What tires were you using?
-Audi RS4 B9 | HRE P107 20" - Gloss Black
-Nissan GT-R MY2015

PS4S on the 20s. Continental Sport Contact 6 on the 19s. A lot of the difference in ride - sidewall aside - is probably that the 19s run much lower pressures.
