3M / Scotchguard / PPF - Rear Bumper
3M / Scotchguard / PPF - Rear Bumper
Picking up black RS4 today and starting to work to protect it from the Dog following lessons learned from owning a black SQ5 for the last 4 years.
Does anyone know where I can get a pre-cut Clear Bra / 3M Scotchguard rear bumper protector for the RS4? Audi did one for the Q5 / SQ5 but they don’t appear to do one for the A4 / RS4
Anyone done this on their car and can point me in the right direction in the UK? Been searching for a while now and can find plenty in Canada / US but nothing in the UK.

There is a thread from a while back here...viewtopic.php?f=131&t=130154

Thanks, unfortunately the person selling the pre-cut PPF on eBay no longer does, so the search continues.
The rearguard is an option but was looking for something transparent so it’s not obvious.

I'm sure if you call most PPF guys they will send you one in the post for a bit of cash.
Re: 3M / Scotchguard / PPF - Rear Bumper
Ordered this after finding someone else that had used it on another Audi forum.

Re: 3M / Scotchguard / PPF - Rear Bumper
Before I forget and anyone else picks up on this thread and buys it. I tried to install this the other night, annoyingly it didn’t quite fit, had a really annoying little lip overhanging the back of the car which just wouldn’t stick down, tried cutting it but made an a*se of it so it went in the bin. Think I’ll go find a detailed that does PPF and get them to do it.
Re: 3M / Scotchguard / PPF - Rear Bumper
Why not just get the OEM Audi one mentioned above? That seller may have stopped selling them, but your dealer might. I paid £11 for mine and it is great.
Re: 3M / Scotchguard / PPF - Rear Bumper

you might want a extra gaurd if its to stop the dog scratching the bumper

Re: 3M / Scotchguard / PPF - Rear Bumper
Have actually kitted the back out with a full Hatchbag setup, with the bumper flap option, which is excellent. The reason for the extra PPF protection is because the dog has a tendency to plant his feet on the bumper flap (and therefore the bumper) as he jumps out of the car. On my SQ5 with a UK custom covers setup in the back it didn’t protect enough and still made a mess of the paintwork. so Brooner i’m In essence going for what you’re suggesting, double protection. Can someone post a link to the OEM one just so I know I’m looking at the right one.
Re: 3M / Scotchguard / PPF - Rear Bumper
Double bagging it eh?
I had a hatchbag boot liner on my RS4 Avant but replaced it with a Rhino version after it wore out.
Hatchbag is more of a rubber material that would grip my bike frames as they were moved in and out. The rhino one is more of a waterproof fabric but is probably less grippy for canine paws.
Both tail flaps damaged the finish on my bumper over time though, as it often flapped in the wind when in use. This dulled the topcoat finish so fitting PPF really is essential.
