as an aside, I see the milled alloys are now standard. I wonder if that means they will be cheaper at the parts department?

I doubt it, in Belgium they went from a €3000 to a €5000 option...

Off topic other than Sportback being ‘an alternative’ to the Avant, ........ and there being an annual limit of 250 only for UK market ;

Email today.

"Because of limited production of RS 4 and RS 5 models in 2019, only around 250 of each body style will be available in Audi Sport Edition trim in the UK and there will be no further production of any RS 4 or RS 5 during 2019"

Do they mean production for the UK? Just checked a few Audi websites in right hand drive markets, They are still on them.

Buy now or wait for 2020 model, not sure what to do? Current car has got to go let me down once too money times but still can’t quite decide to buy now or hold fire. Seen a discounted sport for 3k off list looks like a good deal?

Given that any car you buy new loses the VAT, initial registration fee and virtually all of the value of any options the moment you drive it off the forecourt the £3k seems like loose change. The upside of the Sport Edition is that more of the desirable kit is standard so a decreased hit on the initial depreciation - might be worth the gamble.

The 2020 model gets the revised MMI which is probably worth having but what's the chances of Audi carrying over the spec of the current Sport Edition over?

Where do you draw the line? I'm sure the 2025 RS4 will be amazing, etc etc :)
Just my 2 cents worth - which with the current exchange rate is worth 1.03 pence......

That's so true Wgtngti - sadly. With Audi there is only about a 9 month window between a new model arriving for sale in the showroom and the next year's model being announced - sometimes it's minor spec changes and at others it a virtually new model.

All the doubters , just ordered mine in glacier white for September 2019 registration and the model has all the bells and whistles , only negative is the piano black inlays as my current S4 has them and they scratch just looking at them.
Facelifts and new models are not on the horizon until at least 2022 , expect a diesel RS in Avant and coupe real world emissions and economy will kill off anything with more than 5 cylinders , expect a possible 5 potter with huge output across the range.

Test mules for Minor Model Change RS4 have been seen testing earlier in year.
Recently the following short article was published - https://www.motor1.com/news/363401/audi ... ls-teased/
It would seem that B9.5 RS4 should be out before 2022 (w/same eyebrow DRL as the MMC A4/S4, and similarly w/Rear Taillight module).
